'World of Warcraft' news: extended draw distance to be another feature included in soon-to-be released 'Legion' expansion

"World of Warcraft's" upcoming "Legion" expansion is set to add a variety of new elements to the game, but even beyond those features, it will also usher in some technical improvements.

In a recent post on Battle Net, the game's developers touched on one of the planned improvements that will be included along with the expansion, with that being extended draw distance.

With extended draw distance, players will be able to see even more of the in-game world.

Essentially, extended draw distance will enable players to see further out into the horizon, enabling them to make out the outlines of structures and other establishments that may have previously been enveloped in the fog.

It's also worth noting that the extended draw distance will not be limited to the new continent being added by the "Legion" expansion. This means that even if players leave the Broken Isles, they will still be able to see more of their surroundings while exploring the other continents included in "World of Warcraft."

In addition to the aforementioned new continent and visual upgrades, "Legion" will also be adding a new hero class, the Demon Hunter.

As a Demon Hunter, players will be able to take advantage of the new hero type's exceptional mobility to get the jump on their opponents. The Metamorphosis ability will also allow a player to transform into an even more powerful version of the Demon Hunter, granting him/her new skills and stat upgrades that can be used for the purposes of vanquishing their foes.

"Legion" will also add new artifacts that will grow stronger along with the players that wield them.

New world bosses, dungeons, raids and other features will also be added to the game via the "Legion" expansion, according to Battle Net.

"World of Warcraft" players will be able to try out all the new features coming via the "Legion" expansion when it is released on Aug. 30.
